Default 88 929 quit while driving

I haven't driven this car since april. i just put a new muffler on yesterday and aired up the tires.today I drove it 40 minutes to work with no problems. 20 minutes into the drive home it died at about 50 mph. when i turn the key i hear a relay click once.the engine does turn over. I haven't driven the car in so long i forgot if I could hear the fuel pump before. I definitely can't hear it now. How should I check the fuel pump? I figure i could pull the line at the motor and see if fuel pisses out. I will also check for spark. The motor seems to turn over fairly easy so I'm afraid it may be the timing belt. whats the easiest way to check it? I plan on troubleshooting tomorrow morning so I figured I get your opinions first. Thanks for any help.

i just discovered its my timing belt and it looks like this is an interference motor. should i even try replacing the belt only to find out i have some banged up valves?Even if that works i need 4 new tires and rims(the stock aluminum rims leak and one is actually cracked). after i put the tires, rims, belt and a new battery in the car I could've bought a new beater. i think im gonna go grab a swapsheet and look for a new winter car. damnit, i liked that car!
