Boy could I use some help with this one.
This is my sons car and it is a 1995 626, 2.0L manual trans and it will start and rev to idle and then stop.....every time. I self diagonosed the codes and get an 8. According to Haynes (sucks) it says MAF sensor. I first cleaned the hot wire and core with contact cleaner...nothing. I bought a new one and nothing.....
I loosened the fuel banjo from the rail and have lots of fuel pressure.
Any ideas?? I'm lost.

If you have a wiring diagram you will need to check continuity of the wires from the MAF to the PCM. The PCM needs to see an air movement signal from the MAF or it will not fire the injectors. Check the knock controller module connections also as a signal goes through it. To OHM them out disconnect the battery and PCM so you will not damage the PCM. Make sure it is not something simple like the ignition switch losing contact internally in the on position which is not uncommon. Just turn the key to on and check for voltage at the distributor and injector.
