626 2.0 running hot
There is no water in the oil, no white smoke coming from tailpipe! Temp. gauge still goes to HOT. We put a new radiator, thermostat, and changeda hose that was busted. There is fluid in the radiator. I don't know what else to do![&:] I was told to have the radiator purged and someone else mentionedpurchasing an air/water separator.
Does anyone know about the purging technique or air/water separator?
I appreciate ANY and ALL helpful tips

I would block check it for a blown head gasket. Takes 5 minutes to do and can save money by not replacing good components. If it has bubbles in the resevoir while running then that is compression leaking by the gasket into the cooling system. A blocked bypass hose or a broken waterpump impellor can cause overheating also.

You just remove the radiator cap and suck in the vapors from the radiator through the block checker with the engine idling. The block checker has a special fluid that is blue in color. If compression gases hit the fluid it turns yellow. Most shops have them.

did you run a radator flush through the cooling system. you might have some gunk blocking the flow. pull your termosstate out and see how hot it get then. you might just got a bum stat from the get go
