Default 323 seems to be a bit slugish?!

My 92 323 normally runs just fine I keep it in pretty good shape as a few of you know... but sometimes it seems to run kind of slugish.

Also not sure if this is my throttle cable or not but when I go from a dead stop, putting it in to first and letting off the clutch it seems to hesitate for a quick sec like I am not pushing on the pettal then it goes, this happens first threw most of the other gears untill I am moving pretty quick.... I seems that that the cable maybe have come lose abit? I just don't know how to fix/adjust it any help would be great...

Also could any one tell me the easies way to fun speaker wire threw the the door to the radio so i can replace the old stock ones... getting ready for and upgrade and would like to get some better size of wire.

thanks

The throttle cable cannot cause a hesitation. The first thing i thought of is the throttle position sensor. It may have a dead spot in it. Let's hope babyhuey sees this one and can add his knowledge on the topic.

As for the door speakers, does your car already have speakers there? If so, use the factory wiring to hook them up. My 87 323 did not have door speakers when i bought it. I had to cut the holes for them There was wiring already in the door meant for speakers that was taped to the wiring harness. It had blue tape on it.

I have the exact same hesitation problem with my 98 626. When i originally press on the petal from a dead stop it heasitates and once i am going it runs a bit better. Also It seems like it is at a loss of power when driving past first gear as well. I changed the air filter and it works a bit better but not like it used to. Could it be a airflow regulator or perhaps it just needs to have some injector cleaner added. Any input is appricieated.

I second that motion with my 99 626. From a dead stop car hesitates, stutters then if I floor it, it takes a second to sqaure itself away but it normally does. If I am in a higher gear like 2nd or 3rd and floor it, I do not have this problem. However, if I am in a higher gear and slow down (not stopping) if the RPMs are low enough and then I goto step on the gas, it will putter eventually straightening itself out. At first I thought it may be the distributer/coil packs (my 99 looks like external coil pack) but TPS sensor could also be playing a role. Anyone have any thoughts.
