1999 Capella (626) OBD1 diagnostic not working
ABS and TCS light on, I've tried pulling codes by jumping gnd and tbs, also gnd and ten but nether the ABS nor engine light flashes with ignition on?
I even tried removing battery wire for 10 mins?
Does anyone have any experience of this issue or a wiring diagram for both ABS and diagnostic port?
many thanks

Hi and thanks to those that did respond to my message, albeit with no actual useful information apart from connecting a scan tool.
As I mentioned in my original query, I jumped both gnd and tbs, also gnd and ten and couldn't pull any codes. So no amount of connecting different scan
tools was going to help.
I would have been very happy to pay for correct wiring diagrams, but after many many hours of searching I couldn't find anything suitable.
In the end, I testing every wheel speed sensor and identified one that had a very high resistance compared to the others, so I replaced this and the ABS light went out.

Sadly mazda626.net is no longer operational, as it had a bunch of good stuff.
I will give you this however: https://www.cardiagnostics.be/-now/M...%20reading.htm
It's by no means perfect, but it's a great start for future debugging.
When decoding flashes, long blinks is double digits (10, 20, 30 etc), and short blinks is single digits (1, 2, 3 etc).
Hope this will be useful, albeit a little late for your abs sensor (they are kinda prone to dying when reaching this age)
