Default 1987 323 Head Torque ?

My Sister-in-law bought a 1987 323 with a blown head gasket. Since I am the mechanic in the family I offered to repair it for her. So, I have 3 questions.
1: Torque sequence/Torque Specs for this 1.6L B engine.
2: The Cam pulley alignment marks should be at what position with #1 cylinder at TDC. I could figure this out but I'm being lazy, and
3: What is the size and proper name for the 12point star shaped head bolts. I am having trouble finding the proper socket for these.
Thanks in advance for any other tidbits I may find useful in completing this job.

I've attached a couple of scans from my '88 workshop manual for your first 2 questions. It refers to B6 EGI and B6 DOHC engines. Since the DOHC is pretty rare, I scanned the pics for the EGI (SOHC).

I didn't see any mention of the head bolts. If they are recessed, will a hex driver fit?

Thanks jnicoll. Good guess, it is the BF88 SOHC engine. I think you slipped in scanning the second picutre because it is the torque sequence for the rocker shaft and not the head bolts. The head bolts are not recessed, basically the top of the head bolts look like the end of a 12 point Allen bit.

Are the bolts some form of Torx? I think Torx bits are usually 6 sided, so it could work in a 12 sided recessed hole...

Please post a few updates on your head gasket replacement. I'm about to do it on my '88 323 GTX...

I do have the full Mazda shop manual for my car, it may help you out as well if you need anything else.

the bolts are most likely a 10-12 mm metric socket....
