Default 1981 Mazda 323 engine swaps

I recently got a 81 323 hatch as stock as can be. And It has the 1.1 litre carbureted engine, and I want something that’s injected and has a little more power, does anyone know of any good swaps for this car? Preferably on the cheap end.

Hate to say it but you've got yourself into the deep end with a glc, as an owner of a 84 glc lx your best bet is to find a donor vehicle such as a 86-89 323 and basically swapping all the bits over to your glc like I'm doing. Their is very little if not any aftermarket support whatsoever.

Now it isn't easy, and it isn't cheap to do the 323 route. but If your looking to make more power out of it easily maybe source a e3 or e5 with a manual tranny and swap that in, it won't be a power house by any means but its something

My 84.
