Default Wipers time to think about changing them

Some of us have already started to see the weather change and some early rains. This is the time to change the wipers on your Mazda before the Fall and winter months coming up fast.

While most tend to change their wipers once a year it really is better to change then at least every 4 months or minimum twice a years. This does not matter what brand they all are affected to wear from heat and sun during the summer months, driving where the air quality is bad or dirt in the air, and by none use at all. Very few take the time to wipe the blades at least when you clean the windshield or even wash your car. So the rubber even the best claimed quality will a deteriorate and be less effective when you really need them.

Sorry I do not have a recommendation on Brand or model because I but 4 sets at a time and generally use Amazon. Oh and this will cause some members to go ? During the summer I remove the wiper arms completely unless I am doing weekend or mini vacation and driving long distances. This is for my personal preference in looks of my Mazda. I do carry a small bottle of Rain-x just in case.

Wipers are my pet hate. They last abt 6 months and that's it. I ask for the best quality but nothing matters. I have started doing what they do in Asia that's lifting them up when parked.

Rule of thumb, clean the blades at least every other time you get gas with a hand wipe sanitizer. This removes most of the build up on the blade prolonging its effect life.
Dont buy the so called best wipers. They are really only the best when you windshield glass which we all know most are not . After a few months of highway miles there are enough imperfections by small sand size or smaller impacts that will act to wear the blade making it less effective over a short time period.
Clean the windshield every time you get gas. Takes 2 minutes.
Lifting the wipers off the windshield will cause the rubber to distort in its manufactured design making them just bad when you really need them in the rain.
Try not to use wiper to clean the windshield even using the washer fluid and wiper setting unless it is absolutely necessary. Better to pull into a gas station and use there sqeegie ands paper towel.

we all know these things but many don’t do the service on the wiper anyway. 😂
