Wi-Fi Hotspot disabled
I have a new 2021 CX-5. I would like to setup Android Auto to connect wirelessly, but to do so I think I need to activate the Wi-Fi Hotspot. Please confirm if this is correct.
When I go the the Wi-Fi settings the checkbox to the right of "Wi-Fi Hotspot" is not checked. When I select "Wi-Fi Hotspot" the screen displays "Updating Wi-Fi Settings Please wait while the Wi-Fi Settings are updated". After a few seconds it returns to the "Wi-Fi Settings" screen and the "Wi-Fi Hotspot" is still not checked. All of the other Wi-Fi settings are disabled.
Why can't I activate the Wi-Fi Hotspot? Do I first need to subscribe the use the Wi-Fi Hotspot? In the MyMazda app -> Support -> Quick Links -> In-Car Wi-Fi it states that once you are connected to the Wi-Fi and open a browser you can start a Wi-Fi trial period. But I cannot turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot to connect to it.

I called Mazda and was told that Wireless Android Auto is not supported on my 2021 CX-5. Bummer!
But I still have the problem with not being able to setup the Wi-Fi Hotspot. Any ideas?
