Urgent info on Japanese and US specs needed
Hi all
I have a overhaul job to do on my 2.3L, Mazda6 Sports Wagon, Japanese domestic market specs. I need a crankshaft, bearings, main bearing and con rods. Does anyone know if the short block used for the US market is similar to that used for the Japanese market? If it is then I can order the parts out of the US. (My location is Barbados)

I would think they are very similar and that only the peripherals would be different but I really don't know... just an educated guess.

FYI....Sportwagons in the US were never offered with the 4 cylinder engine. Only the 3.0L V6.
The sedan and hatchback used the 2.3L here in the US. I believe that engine does come from Japan and would be the same. Not 100% sure though.
