My son has a 97 626 that pauses when accelerating and cuts out at random high rpms. Not throwing codes. Im thinking throttle posision sencer, anyone with a better idea?

 

Test it w/a VOM and see. But I'm guessing MAP sensor. It should be a smooth 5-0v IIRC.

This sounds to me like a fuel related fault . i have replaced fuel pumps on the 626 range . I have also had faults with the exhaust system blocking up . if you can try and get your fuel pressure checked , this will tell you if the fuel system is at fault.
