Trouble with Car Startup Message
I am new here, but a longtime Mazda owner. I have reached out to dealership who referred me to national service, who promptly told me to live with this issue. I am hoping someone here can help.
I wanted a car with remote startup, so I got duped into the Connected Services app, which has been a horrible experience. I got rid of it almost immediately, but now every time I start the car I get a message that connected services is disabled, and before I can do anything with the navigation or radio, I have to scroll down and select cancel. It defaults to enabled, so if you are not precise, you end up enrolling. This means going through about 5-6 screens to disable it again. This message doesn't go away...it stayed up once through an entire drive of two hours just because I didn't have time to mess with it and didn't want to be distracted driving in a storm.
I can't believe this hasn't come up for others. Yet, the national customer service number only wants to encourage me to enroll again. This is a no-go for me. Any help on how to get rid of this annoying startup message so I can peacefully coexist with this car as long as I have it? I have learned that Mazda is no longer the brand for me after more than 20 years of being a loyal customer. Connected services seems like a cult or a bad gym that will not cancel your membership. Please help,
