Transport mode

Default Transport mode

I work for a car rental company and we just got some brand new 2016 Mazda 3 sedans in. They are both in a transport mode and I can't find any info on how to put them in normal operation. Can anyone help?

What do you mean by "Transport mode"?

Transport mode puts the car into a reduced electrical load for shipping from the factory. It usually disables many of the power accessories and sometimes key fobs don't work. To put a car back to normal operation you have to do something like push in a fuse and then operate the turn signals and wipers for 2 seconds(Nissan / Chrysler), flip a switch (Hyundai), perform actions like step on the brake pedal 10 times and turn the hazards on and off (Ford), or hold the brake and turn on the hazards and keep the key turned to start after the engine has started (GM). I just can't find any information on Mazda. I only found info for an older model Mazda 2 and it doesn't fit with the new Mazda 3.

All Mazda Passenger cars get shipped with the room fuse & audio fuses removed. Put them in & your away laughing. There isnt a transport mode that I am aware of. Only the BT50 has a transport mode.

All you were missing was which way to wave the monkey paw. The extra fuses are located in the fuse box cover, by the way.

No need to pay extra $$'s for a Monkey paw, a Rabbit's Foot works just as well.

Default transport mode for newer mazda

Hi guys new to the forum. i also work in Fleet and see alot of the Mazdas as well. Transport mode is turned off by three fuses; Upper left corner says ROOM 15A fuse, bottom of the fuse box to the left are two fuses. One says engine and the other says audio. the remainder of the 15a goes into that slot. all fuses are under the fuse cover itself. thanks guys!
