Default Resetting CX-3 Sport remote after battery change

My wife has a 2024 CX-3 Sport but this forum doesn't let you add that to your profile!
Anyway, recently she let her remote battery go dead flat. "Oh; is THAT what that red key symbol on the dash means?"
We have a spare but I had to drive out to where her car was.
Put in a new CR2032 Coin cell and it then unlocked OK but the proximity thing didn't work. You could still start it by holding the fob against the start button.
I had the most unbelievably frustrating experience with AI searches and various help forums, all giving the same "cures," none of which worked.
Finally Perplexity AI worded it slightly differently and I nailed it.
Turns out the fobs have a low power mode that's useful for spare remotes that you aren't using.
To turn it on or off you have to press the lock key 5 times, holding it down for a few seconds on the 5th press. But EVERY other source made it sound like there must be no more than 3 seconds between presses.
ACTUALLY you've got to get ALL FIVE presses in inside 3 seconds.
So it's not " Lock-wait-lock-wait-lock-wait-lock-wait-lock-HOLD" it's
"Lock-lock-lock-lock-lock-HOLD"
Given the extraordinarily large of possible "cures," none of which worked, I makes you wonder how many people are just making crap up!

Welcome to the forum

Yes this forum does allow you to enter a profile or make changes to your profile at any time. Contact the moderator directly and he can look into your concern?
Using a forum like this one is better than web surfing for information and even better than a forum is finding an FSM (factory Service Manul) and find the exact and correct information to do any service.
If you have a friendly Mazda dealership either calling them (service or parts department) or visiting them for a simple Q&A about key fobs may get the correct information or they will likely just correct the issue for you as a courtesy?
