I am trying to replace the alternator on my 1990 626. It was easy enough to get it unbolted, but how do I extract it from the vehicle. It won't fit through the top because of the manifold and it doesn't fit out through the bottom. I disconnected the tie rod to try to make more room, but it still doesn't fit. Has anyone done this job and what am I missing?
