i have a 04 rx 8 and my power steering works when it wants to. they tell me that it will be 2k to fix?? do you think thats a honest answer??

 

It is probably the P/S Computer that is probably the culprit. It retails at $1042 from Mazda.

 

that's kind of what i wanted to answer, but i don't know rx8's very well. i assumed that they were at least electronic assisted though.

electronic controllers = big bills from the dealer. the price is probably right on target.
