Default Petrol Maz 6 stalls randomly when hot. Restarts after a few mins

Hello, wondering if you guys can help me diagnose a problem. My 2l petrol Mazda 6 Takuya 2011 will stall after say 30mins of driving. It doesnt seem to matter what speed im going, gear, if I'm going up a hill, or if its raining, just after a while of driving it will stall and I have to coast to the side. I then have to wait a few minutes to start it back up. If I start back up after a few minutes then the car wont get far and it will stall again. If I leave it an hour or so I can get 30mins worth of driving. I got a diagnostic check and nothing came up.

My fuel pump (I believe thats what it is, this thing in the middle) is making a ticking noise. I used the screwdriver to ear technique and it was pretty loud, you can hear it Here.

So I'm pretty sure I need a new fuel pump but I'm confused as it was fine with the diagnostic tests. Also would a failing fuel pump cause my car to act like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

that would be my guess as well. They can fail to maintain pressure when overheated.

Ok thank you. I think i'm going to get mazda to run a diagnostic on it, just learnt a lot of the codes are encrypted and you need specialist reader.
