Default No heat after replacing water pump

Mazda CX9 water pump went out. Had a local shop replace the pump. When he finshed and we picked up the car we noticed there was no heat. Feeling both hoses on the fire wall there is no flow of hot coolant. We tried fushing heater core to see if it was plugged. It seems to have plenty of flow. Could the hose be installed incorrectly? Does anyone have any suggestions?

This could be very irritating. I modified the water pump as it became leaking. Heat turned into quality. After converting the water pump & thermostat I get NO heat, well little or no warmness. My vintage water pump had 170,000 miles on it. The most effective factor that I can think about is that the heater center is clogged someplace, not something that I need to troubleshoot. However after I am inside the automobile and turn the **** from cold to hot, I get a burst of warmth however then it tapers off to heat. The car does no longer overheat, not anything is leaking, no coolant in the cabin location. I'm frustrated and stumped. Should I just go get a cooling machine flush? Or could that reason more harm if there may be any damage. Does all and sundry have any thoughts? 1999 Camaro Z28.

Well a very late response but the obvious your choice of service shop did something wrong or missed something from the simple water pump service? Return to them and have them fix their oversight!

You discribed a blocked heater core. Likely even attempting to flush your system will damage the heater core. It needs to be replaced or by passed until you can replace it. If it fails it could leak into the interior or cause the engine to over heat.
