Default Messed up my speedometer cover. Smudged now.

I have a 2014 Mazda6. I wiped down the interior with an all purpose heavy duty cleaner and forgot to wipe my speedometer off. It was left with several smudges that I couldn't get off with basic cleaners. I tried to lightly rub it off with a green scrubby, oops I'm an idiot I think. Now the whole thing is foggy. It clears up when I spray cleaner on it, but stays foggy after I wipe with a paper towel.

Am I screwed and need to replace it, or is there a secret way to renew its surface to make it clear? I figure there is, but a quick google search couldn't come up with my exact situation.

Thanks in advance!
