Hi can some one help me i have a E2200 panel van and the following problems have occured,

A rattle in the engine which i thought maybe the oil so i changed the oil and filters and also changed the rocker cover gasket as it leaked a little

also have white smoke out the exhaust

and there was no water in the rad which i havent checked since i got the van only know cause the temperature light came on

the noise has only occured since the temperature light has come on

if some one could help it would be appreciated thanks

 

There is no water in the radiator and you have white smoke coming out your tailpipe? I can imagine the water went out the tailpipe and the antifreeze caused the smoke. It points to a blown head gasket.
