I have a 2004 Mazda 6 with the MZR 2.3L motor n/a
Cylinder 4 was dead so i pulled apart to do headgasket
Found out that that cylinder had major detonation issues and it ate away at the piston, block deck on cylinder wall, and the head...
I am looking for information about what blocks i can use to swap my block with.
I have read on wikepedia the 2.3L and 2.0L have same bore just different stroke aka different crank/rods.... if so what model car would carry such engine and would it even work with my crank/rods/pistons.

otherwise what are my options with this?

I know 2004/2005 mazda 6/mazda 3/mazda tribute/ mazda mpv use this very same motor but omg are they impossible to find here in VA.
