I have a 2012 Mazda5. Car has over 130,000 miles on it, and never had a problem before, but the past few days, when I go to use my remote start, the lights flash and the horn beeps 7 times. Tried exiting/entering valet mode; no dice. Called two Mazda dealers and they don't know what it means; both say I have to bring it in to diagnose. SOMEONE out there must know what the 7-beep error message means!

(I should add that the problem may have begun after getting an oil change.)

 

Do you have the owner's manual / instruction booklet for the remote start?

 

No, I don't. Couldn't find it online, either.
