Default Manual Transmission/Automatic Seatbelts

Hello everybody! I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of things.

First off, I have a '90 MX-6, manual trans. My stick shifter wobbles so I looked under the car to find the bar that the stick connects to (this bar connects to the tranny itself). 1) What is the name of this part so I can find a replacement part. 2) I noticed that there are no bushings or anything. The bar can slide back and forth on the bolt. Are there supposed to be bushings? What causes the back and forth motion when the car is in gear. I can move the stick a pretty decent amount.

Secondly, I have automatic seatbelts. I replaced the battery in the car and coincidentally or not, I'm not sure, the driver side seatbelt got stuck in the forward position (toward windshield). I checked the fuse and it is in good condition. The passenger side works great. This makes me think it is the motor but I'm not sure. I don't hear anything that sounds like the motor is trying to work but may be stuck. However the beep sound occurs when the electronics sense that belt is moving but it isn't. Anybody know how to fix this?

Thank you all!
