Default madza3 tires

I just bought my first madza3. 2007 with oem 205/50-17 goodyear low profile. When these wear out I would like to replace them with a non low profile. What will i have to do and what size will fit. Any help is appreciated.

Youare not liable to get very far w/that and maintain OE diameter. A 205/50-17 roughly translates to a 195/55 or 60-16" (minus 1.) One is a little bigger. Theother a little smaller. And BTW: 16" wheels are as small as you can put on an S model 3 series and clear the brakes. 15s on the i models.
Why would you want to do that anyway, Frog?

I really donot want to change, except I would like to get a tire that will get more than 25-30,000 miles of wear. Also I believe a convential tire would give a better ride with less road noise. If you know of a tire that is same size as oem that gets better milage,I would like to know about it. This car is complete new to me as in the last 21 years I have driven nothing but pick-ups.
