ok so I have I 1999 mazda protege. I am having problems with my rear door locks. they will lock but they don't like to unlock what could it be???

could you give us a little more info? are you talking about when you use keyless entry or when you physically unlock them by hand? does it do that when you hit the lock buttons and unlock only by hand? does it freeze up completely and you have to take the door panel off to unlock?

i would say that it is weak selenoids that have the strength to close but not open. it's an easy fix, but you will probably have to go to the dealership for the parts. electronics are hard to find at the auto parts store.
