Hi, i pulled the driver side axle out and greenish fluid leaked out. Probably 1/2qt.
after googling & youtubing for about an hour... still undecided if it's transmission fluid or transaxle fluid.
Any ideas?

Wow... for a mazda group there's not much response 🤣🤣🤣

 

Look like gear oil.......transmission fluid would be bright cherry red.

 

thanks, i thought it strange that no liquid came out when i pulled my volvo s60 axle.
After a couple more hours googling looks like it's "Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil SG1"

 

After thinking it was differential gear oil (hypoid SG1) & buying it... when i took out the fill plug on the differential and tried to fill it up- it did not accept any more!!!
Any idea where i would add the missing oil? While the passenger side axle goes straight into the differential, The driver side axle seems to go into another gear/differential housing... but unsure.
Any help would be nice.
