Default HELP

surely someone on this forum can help me. I don't want to sound like ***, but I joined this forum so I would be in the company of people who are knowledgable about Mazda vehicles. Surely there is someone in this forum who has some advice or answers about how to remove and seemingly unremovable bolt from crankshaft pulley on a 1998 Mazda 626 4 cyl. Surely someone can tell me which way the bolt is threaded. Any help at this point will be greatly appreciated and a tremendous relief. Thanks,

David

Try a PM to babyhuey...he's a service tech and should be able to tell you which way the bolt rotates to come out..

As for loosening a rusted bolt....Kroil is your friend. It's the best penetrant I've found.

No problem....This forum tends to not be the rude "use the search function" crowd. There are a couple of engineers for Ford/Mazda (myself included) and at least 1 Master tech on here, so you can usually find some help.

I've got a Mazda service manual (Mazda6) on my computer at work...I'll see if I can find you something tomorrow. The 2.3L 4-cyl used on it would be fairly close to your 626.
