My check engine light came on, so I drove to Advanced Auto Parts where the guy pull the code for me. The code came back as a large EVAP leak. Can anyone tell me where I would even start to look, and yes the gas cap in on just fine. Cleared the code it came back on in about 2 days as the same code. Just wondering if anyone else has runinto this problem.

FAILED INSPECTION FOR EVAP LEAK ON MY 96 PROTEGE. HAD TO BRING IT TO A SHOP THAT DOES EMISION REPAIRS. THEY TEST YOUR SYSTEM WITH A "SMOKE MACHINE" TO FIND THE LEAK. TURNED OUT ONE OF THE CONTROL VALVES WAS FAULTY AND STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION. AFTER $200 (MOSTLY LABOR) THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED AND I PASSED INSPECTION.
