Clutch Slip up??
Car PEOple. need you.
My Mazda protege is back in the shop with clutch problems after only 18000 miles.
So, Car went to the shop and was mistakenly recorded as a 2003 or 06 year number, in some fiendish clerical error.
The car is actually a 2000, im guessing because the Y is in the first digit place in the Vin.
I looked up clutches, online, for models and it says, there are different clutch patterns for different models.
Any who, the shop wouldn't fix it for free because it was out of warranty, although if they mistakingly put the wound clutch in, should they be liable for recovering the damages?
On my way to shop now so I need you all to help m with this.

If they put in the wrong clutch they should wear the cost you always compare the old part to the new before putting it in the car to make sure you have ordered the correct part, if you have had 18000 miles out of the clutch i think you need to revise your driving style as this is something that is not warrantable
