This is out of Mitchell estimator which is one of the standard time scales used. 4 cyl is 5.1 hours and V6 is 6.0 hours. Add an extra .4 hours to each to cover replacment of pilot bearing and R/R flywheel to be resurfaced.

OK. Factory Mazda clutch parts for a 4 cyl or V6 should run around $240.00. Flywheel resurface add estimated $40.00. The biggest factor is the labor rate that you will be paying where you got your quote. If your shop is charging $130 per hour then a 4 cyl clutch will run you about $1000. Same $1000 will be needed if you have the V6 and shop is charging $112 per hour. Since I see you are in Miami I would not be at all surprised to see labor rates that high. Our labor rate is $75 per hour so your clutch would only cost you $690-$765 at my shop.
