My 2011 Mazda3 Sport Airbag light is Blinking when I'm at freeway speed and stops when my speed is lower than 50 mph. The blinking sequence is: 2~short pause~2~long pause~repeat. Can anyone help me figure out what it means? I keep my car well maintained and it doesn't seem have any issues on startup, idling or while I'm driving it! I'm at a loss

 

Are you putting something heavy on the passenger seat, like your purse! It may be sensing this. Try putting the passenger side seat belt on and see if this blinking continues.

 

The first time i noticed it blinking my husband was in the passenger seat with his seatbelt on. It has also Blinked while the seat is empty.

 

I don't know what those codes mean. It was worth a shot!
