What in the world is a "camshaft light"? Can you describe what it looks like of take a picture?? Perhaps something that 323 in CZ has that we do not in the US.

It is the red lightwith threepulleysand beltin the left upper side of dash. I don´t have gotthe car at home, but i can take any picture tomorrow, if necessary. I thing this is light of service interval.I searched all the net, but i didn´tfind anything.
In the diagnostics connector are only two pins connected, and i find out the first of themis theground, and second is turning the radiator fan on.

If is possible, You can write an email to milan.hambalek@seznam.cz

Thank You very much for help

It looks like the timing belt light and you may need to replace the timing belt.

Without trying to be a smartass here, why not buy a manual for it? That should tell you what you need to know, and offer more info for later repairs also.
I am not familiar w/your particular car, but sometimes there's a micro-switch on the back of the gaugecluster assem to reset, while other times there's a service reminder plug for a special (usually custom electronic) code canceller ala' BMW.

It´s my friend car, not mine, so he asked me for help. I don´t want to buy a service manual for 1 repair. I tried search it on net, actually i managed to it, but i didn´t find out this information.

So i will check outgauge panel from rear side, and i will let you all know.

Hello,

I finally solved problem with timing belt light. There is no button for reset, no computer for counting distance moved etc. There is just tooth wheel, which is pushing the lever of microswitch every 120 thousand kilometers. I seriously have no idea, how is the right procedure for deactivate this light in authorized service, because i had to move off some screws from thewheels holder directlyinside the dashboardand turn the wheel a bit back. Now the lightcomes on after the ignition ON andcomes off with oiland charge lights afterstart the engine.

Have a nice day
