2010 Mazda 2 - strange squeak!
I have a 2010 (60) reg Mazda 2 TS2 automatic that I bought used from a Mazda dealer in the summer. It's a great little car (my first Mazda) and I love driving it but recently I've noticed an intermittent noise that is annoying me so I'm thinking if I know what is causing it I may be able to have it repaired under my 1 year warranty.
Basically when I am in traffic and moving forward slowly there is a high-pitched squeak/squeal, apparently coming from the passenger side. It's not continuous and there's no noise when I use the brakes - it's just an slight on-and-off squeal as the car creeps forward. I'm thinking maybe it's a brake wear indicator but all the info I've seen online about this suggests the noise would be continuous and loud. Do you have an opinion?
Thanks.
