2006 Mazda 6S won’t down shift, but will up-shift
Hey guys, I have a 2006 Mazda 6S V6, 125K miles. It’s a 6 speed automatic.
In sport mode (Manual mode?) the car will upshift with the gear selector just fine, but it will not down shift whatsoever. Just acts like it isn’t receiving any input response.
Could this be a sensor or a fuse or something? I’ve tried doing some googling, couldn’t find anything.
anyone know?
also off topic but...
I also have an exhaust leak, and I don’t believe it’s repairable, too rusted out. I don’t know a ton about exhausts, is there any recommendation / link you can provide for a new full exhaust? Or maybe a solution? The leak is in the flex pipe, but where the flex pipe connects to the headers the bolts are completely rusted so I don’t think I can replace it.
