Hi Everybody Sorry Nubie here, I hope somebody can help, About 1 year ago I bought a 2005 Mazda Axela with Auto lights & Wipers this function does not work I was told by the car yard that it was because of an aftermarket windscreen that was fitted in Japan, my question is, how do I tell if it is an aftermarket windscreen, I did try another couple of sensors but this did not work, I have read other forums where apparently it can be Disabled through the info system, I don't have the info system, just a standard Mazda Radio, BTW I have replaced with a Mazda 3 Radio to get New Zealand radio. Any help is appreciated. Cheers

 

When replacing the sensor you must replace the gel Pad.

Also get a code check at Mazda, this may give a reason why it doesn't work. Also they can change the settings vis the MMDS ( Mazda's diagnostic scan tool)
