Default 2001 Mazda Tribute-Ignition Coil B Pri/Sec Circuit Malfunction

Just bought a used 2001 Mazda Tribute DX V6. First couple weeks ran fine. All of sudden, engine light came on, vehicle started shaking and jerking. Took to auto parts store where they scanned it. CODE Read: "Ignition Coil B, Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction. Guy told me to replace Ignition Coil Pack #2. While in there, I replaced spark plugs too. Cleared code, drove around for about a week. Engine light came on again. took back to store CODE Read: Primary B Cylinder 2 Malfunction. Can anyone tell me about this problem? is this a manufacturer problem with this model? Thank you very much.

check for continuity of wires to coil from pcm, but computer could be failing to signal coil. Ive seen that on a 4cyl tribute like you got. Sometimes replacing the pcm does actually work, but figure out which is the signal wire and make sure its sending voltage when running to be sure
