Hi all, new here and hope this is the right forum to ask...

I have the 05 2.3 Tribute, front wheel drive and besides recalls, never had an issue, love the truck! Was looking at the new 09s to see there is the new 2.5 4 cyl 171hp and the new 240hp 6 cyl.

Prior years I "believe" the 3.0L 200hp 6 cyl was the Ford built engine, and my 2.3 153hp was a Mazda build engine.... correct me if wrong.

Was looking around trying to find what company makes each of the new engines... if ya know please post. My guess is they are both now Mazda build engines in the Tribute - I do not know what ones are in the Ford Escape though. Thanks, Regards, Golf
