Ok so my buddy just got this Mazda and it keeps popping up new codes and has no throttle response really.



and yes coolant temp sensor was replaced

 

Engine coolant temprature was replaced. ok.
you should check following issues:
P0118:
INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION.
procedure:
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the PCM connector.
• Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
• Is there any malfunction?
IF yes repair or replace the termimal.
IF no go to next step:
INSPECT ECT SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Procedure:
• turn the ignition switch off.
• Inspect for continuity between the following terminals:
― ECT sensor terminal A (wiring harness-side) and PCM terminal 2J (wiring harness-side)
― ECT sensor terminal B (wiring harness-side) and PCM terminal 2AX (wiring harness-side)
• Is there continuity?
If no: Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible open circuit, then go to the next step.
If yes: next step.
VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0118 COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Start the engine.
• Is the same DTC present?
If yes: Replace the PCM.
