i got 107,000 miles on my protege dx and wanna know what oil i should use and is oil tratments worth the few dollars and also what about fuel injector cleaners how often should i use them if at all, and what brands work best if any?

 

As far as oil goes, use a FULL synthetic oil, and a good one. There are some great ones out there like Amsoil, Mobil 1, Royal Purple and Red Line.

 

I have a Dodge Ram 360 with 180,000 miles on it. It just started to make noise. I believe I have a bad lifter guide. I used Lucas Oil Treatment and the noise was reduced significantly at certain RPMs and completely gone at others. I also used it in my transfer case and it quieted it down a lot.
I would not use it as my only oil though. And probably wouldn't use it every oil change unless you need it. I now use 15w40 in the truck.
