Mazdas paint quality
Hey guys been looking for a new car. And I enjoy Mazda allot. After doing research I see allot of posts of paint chipping being the worst on Mazdas and it has me worried. I was going to get a white Mazda 3 and plan to finance. Is white just as bad as the red I am reading non stop about? I really don't want to finance on a new car and at the end of it have the car look beat up.
Yeah that's where I see most complaints. Just has me worried. I've had my current Ford for 7 years and the paint is in great shape. Want to same results from my next car
I would suggest getting Paint Protection Film - at least on the front - hood, fenders, mirrors. Maybe a bit costly up front, but IMHO, more than worth it if you want to avoid those pings and dings from road debris.
Ya you all think and I mean think it is only the sole red. IT AINT!!!!
I am sure I will be getting my Mica Black Mazda 3 repainted this summer. LOL really guy's the red might seam to be the worst but I hate to break the ego about RED vehicles and the Mazda paint I have yet to see any MAZDA RED that is worse then my MICA. LOL
I also think I am in the above average for taking care of a car then many and yet I still have the EXACT chips you all have with your RED MAZDAs . !!!

Chips come from one place, stones stuck in the tread of the tires of the guy in front of you that you are following too closely to. Back off and keep your distance especially on the highway. All paint chips at the same rate. Color is irrelevant. A small rock travelling at 90mph plus into your front bumper cover does not care what color it impacts. It will punch right through whatever color is on the cover. PPF would stop this issue. But keeping your distance would be far less costly and easier to do.
Don't forget your ceramic coating
