Default ohhhh troubles

Hi there all, this being my first post and all, I will do my intro right after this(I know its customary)

Anyways, 2004 mazda tribute, will not start or crank over, Previous owner had a Aftermarket alarm installed, removed it before my gf purchased 3 yrs ago, never had a major problem, maintenance and such, until today,
Well I knew there was a Aftermarket in there previously, because I replaced all the door speakers and the power window motor wiring has been mangled! so I did more digging around and came across alot of bare wires, I taped them off and made sure ntohing was exposed.
Anyways , come to today, I jump in, and truck will not start or crank over, the security light doesn't flash abnormally, and fuel is being dumped in(I can hear the pump), but the starter is not even TRYING to engage(and I know it was before, I will hammer on it later)
Any other suggestions?

Dear lord you are in for a MAJOR headache
My co-worker just bought a car and he brought it over to my house for me to look it over. I found he had an alarm on the car that he wasn't aware of. He asked if I could I remove it?
I laughed and said I am not touching that hack job with a 20foot pole. No way, no how!
Start with fuses.

thanks for the reply

I have double checked all fuses with a trusty DMM now, and now found that my ignition out from key is working fine(12.9v) but is there a relay from there BEFORE the starter?

I knew this would be a head scratcher. Believe me, I do feel sorry for you. Especially with bare wires from some hack job. I'm afraid of what you'll find behind the stereo.
Good Luck.

Stereo was fine, in fact I wired up a pretty decent aftermarket unit there, and it works fine

yup, old alarm was 100% removed, except for some dangling wires, I am thinking its the PATS system, and since we do not have a 2nd key, it will not allow us to start,(IE: programming)
