Default HID Upgrade

Hi guys i'm looking at upgrading my lights to HIDs but i'm having an issue with the fog lights. Its a 2003 V6 which takes a H1 bulb that goes into an adapter.....is there an adapter for the hif bulbs? do you use a different bulb for it?

anyone run into this?

Be careful that your HID upgrade doesn't run foul of local traffic laws.

Yes, grim is correct. Putting an HID conversion into a non-projector equipped reflector housing is not only dangerous to oncoming drivers, but just might be illegal where you are.
A reflector housing is simply not equipped for HIDs and the light will not be focused, and will scatter. You may end up seeing less than before. There are however projector kits that can be installed into your existing housing. Or you might consider replacing the housing with an aftermarket unit already equipped with/for HIDs.
As for your question, check with the manufacturer as far as the adapter is concerned. Sometimes in the better kits they come with them, but not so with the cheaper (eBay) kits.
