Been having some weird shifting lately in Mom and pops car so I went out and bought a code reader. For some strange reason at this point in my life I don't trust mechanics, lol. Anyway I got a code P0767 which I looked up and I am told; Shift Solenoid D Stuck On.

Can anyone offer me some advise from this point. I have read its an expensive part to replace and the possible is an eliminator kit available for it, which sounds cheaper.

Talked to Mazdas part department and the only thing he could find was the entire control system and it would cost around 1000 dollars. Please help can't afford to spend that much and would really like to be able to drive this vehicle. Its in mint shape and only 50k miles on it.
