Default 1993 Mx-6 with 150K for $900 deal?

It is a 5-speed. Little stiff through the gears, clutch feels good, but kinda hard shifting? It may be the clutch though, only took it for a short test drive, the car drives very well, and feels powerful. It's the V6 model. Off the bat, The power steering container is empty, Looks like there is a leak, Whats involved in changing the hoses, Looks difficult? Sunroof motor works, but does not open? check engine light was on when warming up, then went off while test driving, O2 sensor, map sensor? For $900 it's not a bad deal the body is straight, here the worst thing about the car though. When warm, the car will not start at certain times? it just decides not to start? The current owner actually have had the car towed 2-3 times. But always starts the next day or after 3-4 hours? Any ideas?

Thanks guys,
Anthony '93 MX-6

For the price you should expect to do some repairs. It sounds like it has been neglected on the maintenance. By no start do you mean no crank or no fire?

No start. Car cranks, as per the owner... Is this a common problem? What about the power steering hoses, hard to get to?

thanks,
Anthony

The most common part to fail when it gets a no spark condition is the igniter. It is not a big part but can be pricey depending if you can change the igniter itself, or have to change the distributor assy. I'm not too familiar with the MX-6 power steering hoses, but the Mazdas I've done have been fairly easy to replace. I would also make sure it's not the steering pump leaking too.
