I use them on many vehicles including the MAZDA. They are safe if you get a quality set and use only the spacing you need and not get carried away with getting the thickest ones available. Use only the size what you need. I recommend not to exceed 1/2 inch /10mm and use only hub centric CNC machine spacers
If you choose to use 1 inch or more it will have an wear factor on parts and safety effect of your MAZDA
