Default Painting Underhood Trim

I was thinking of painting the trim under my hood, would I be able to use spray paint for plastics? If so would I have to use plastic primer also?

Since it won't get that hot under there I don't see why not! I used model paint on the letterig ofmy valve cover and no probs.
