dealer told me restraints control module was gone as car was peeping when i started it. no warning lights on on the dash. said it was 650.00 to fix. very difficult location to get at. bought a used one and installed it in 10 minutes. unhooked the battery took small panel off four screws and removed kick plate and then three 8mm bolts and two plugs. installed new one and replaced panels and hooked up battery but it still peeps. Don't know where to turn as seems dealer doesn't know what they are doing. They did admit they talked to mazda as they han't faced this problem before. Would appreciate any suggestions?

 

still have the problem! Any help even Mazada should be able to advise as local dealer is lost!

 

Can you be more specific on the location of the restraints module? I'm trying to locate it in my girlfriends tribute, but cannot be sure where it is. Thanks
