So i heard that another Corp recently bought Mazda from Ford?
I didn't know who... so maybe someone in this forum does.

 

Ford never owned mazda. Ford had a minority share in mazda. They sold a portion of their share, which wasn't much to begin with. From the way I understand it, mazda bought that portion back.

 

I had heard that Ford originally owned 31.3% of Mazda, which by Japanese law gave them the controlling interest. (<<< Rumor. Heresay.)
And that they had sold all but about +/-12%.

 

Yup, that's the way it went down.

 

and yet the cars were still mazda design, the only vehicles that were more ford than mazda were the b series trucks, tribute, and few other suv and trucks, but cars like the protege and mx series even though had ford counterparts were still built by mazda as well as the ones in fords and in case anyone is wondering yes the 3 is mazda built not ford
