Default sstlaure & the Ford Flex

Hey Guys n Gals,
I post a lot here, but do not often start new threads. I now have a good, real reason to.
I saw the PBS/SPEED Channel show MotorWeek on PBS this weekend who did a review of the new Ford Flex and in particular they complimented the seating. In fact they went out of their way to compliment the comfort of the seats calling them the "best in a Ford Product to date!!"

(PtII) As some of you know, sstlaureis a seat engineer for Ford Motors and after asking him, he has reluctantly informed me that he indeed was intrumental inthe design of those seats.

Very nicely done! Though if you ask me, the Flex is still (aesthetically) a squished Range Rover.

Okay, the seats are comfy ... but does Ford really need to be introducing a new SUV?

Thanks guys...although virgin1's info is a little inaccurate. I am working on the same family of seats that we are using in many of the new vehicles, but not specifically on the Flex. They are very nice seats.

If you look at the Flex in the correct context (Full-size SUV replacement) you have the same utility as a full-size SUV, it costs less to buy, andyou get ~22 mpg instead of 13mpg. For larger families, small cars just don't work.

I just wish Ford wouldn't have shot themselves in the foot by discontinuing the Focus ZX3 and ZX5. Come on, a Focus coupe? Pointless.

I wish we had the same quality Focus as the Euros did the entire time...just thinking out loud.
