i wanna buy one of those radar detection things....
that way when im on the highway, i can drive as fast as i want without the risk of getting booked....
maybe this summer, when i take a 7 hour trip up north

 

Radar detectors don't always save you. I have one of the top radar detectors and I still got caught doing 25 mph over the limit; damn cop turned his radar on right when I got close to him.

 

oh... i didnt know cops could turn their radar on and off...
i though it just read the radio waves, or some other kind of waves,
and when they got closer, the radar detector would beep faster of something...

 

no, some cops are crafty.

 

yeah.... but cops are useing lazer more and more.... usaly when ur detector goes off it means uve been tagged... its illgal in canada so if u have one u have to turn it off right away and not get busted cuz it cost$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Most Michigan cops trigger their radar guns and don't leave them on all the time....I find a radar detector just gives you an extra scare when they nail you and it screeches.

That site is pretty spot on for my area....

 

so if it only goes off once you've already been spotted, then whats the point of em?? to tell you that your busted??

 

It would work in cases where the officer is being lazy and just has his gun on, or it would also go off when he triggers someone on the road ahead of you. It would be better than nothing, but it's not fool-proof. (The point of any product is to make money from selling that product.)

 

If you plan on buying a radar dector the only one i recommend buying is a Valentine One. http://www.valentine1.com/. That is the best one you could ever invest your money on. Well worth the 400 bucks.
